    There is a close relationship between the hardness of a mold material and its wear resistance.
    In general, the higher the hardness, the better the wear resistance usually is. Hardness refers to the ability of a material to resist external objects pressed into its surface. When the hardness of a mold material is high, its surface is less prone to scratching, abrasion and deformation during contact and friction with the material being processed.
