High-speed punch presses produce noise mainly due to the following aspects:

First, the mechanical structure
    Noise generated by the movement of the slider
        High-speed impact: the slider of the high-speed punch press will produce strong impact and friction between the slider and the guide rail in the process of high-speed reciprocating movement. When the slider impacts the guide rail at a very high speed, it will produce an instantaneous impact sound. For example, the slider in the stamping process thousands of times per minute, each impact with the guide rail may produce a large noise.

        Improper gap: If the gap between the slider and the guide rail is not properly adjusted, too large or too small will lead to noise generation. When the gap is too large, the slider in the movement process will be shaking, and the guide rail collision noise; gap is too small, the friction resistance increases, will also produce harsh friction sound. Generally speaking, the gap between the slider and the guideway of the high-speed punch press should be controlled between a few wires and tens of wires (1 wire = 0.01 mm).

        Gear meshing: The transmission system of high-speed punch press usually adopts gear transmission, and the gears will produce noise in the process of high-speed rotation and meshing. The noise is more pronounced if the gears are not highly accurate, mesh poorly, or are insufficiently lubricated.
        Crankshaft and connecting rod movement: The crankshaft and connecting rod will also produce noise during high-speed rotation and reciprocating motion. Problems such as crankshaft imbalance, loose connecting rods, and worn out shingles can lead to noise. For example, a crankshaft that is unbalanced during rotation can cause vibration, which in turn generates noise.
