Generally speaking, the noise decibel value generated by a press is positively correlated with the press speed.
When the stamping speed is slow, the noise decibel value is relatively low and may be around 80 - 90 dB. As the stamping speed increases, the noise decibel level rises significantly.
For example, at moderate press speeds, the noise may be in the range of 90 - 100 dB. At higher press speeds, the noise decibel level can exceed 100 dB and even reach 110 dB or more.
This is because higher press speeds result in increased frequency of impacts between the punch and the material, and increased impact energy, which leads to increased vibration and friction, which in turn generates higher-intensity noise.
However, the specific relationship will be affected by the structure of the press, material properties, mold design and other factors.
